About the Event
"Hatha Yoga Pradipika was written in Sanskrit by Swami Svatmarama, who was a disciple of the great yogi Gorakshanath. The book was written in the 15th century, although some scholars suggest it may have been written earlier.
The book was written as a guide for practitioners of Hatha Yoga, which emphasizes the physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. Hatha Yoga Pradipika is considered one of the most important texts in the tradition of Hatha Yoga, and it has been studied and practiced by yogis for centuries." ~Unknown Author
