About the Event
Many of us have malas but really don't use them what they are for. Sure, malas can be worn as jewelry but that is not their orginal intention.
Malas are use as meditation tools to help hold ones focus and intention in one place. Japa means to rotate, and is the easiest meditation practices one can partake in, anytime, anywhere. When using a mala for japa practice one can keep the mind in a continued rotation of consciousness.
In this one hour workshop we will learn the different types of japa, how to hold a mala, suggestions for practice, and end with a practice together.
Please bring your own mala, if you do not have one, please email Mary and we will get you one for no more than $30.
