About the Event
Hawai’i is a place of healing and deep nourishment. Surrounded by waters, it is the most isolated island chain in the world. Each island has their own magnificence, Oahu has it all, mountains, majestic beaches & even the famous Waikiki. There will be free time after 1pm every day to explore the magical waters & mountains of the North Shore. Lush, tropical hikes all along the north shore including Waimea Falls, Ka’ena Point, Pu’pakea & more. There are local food trucks and quaint restaurants, shopping in Hale’iwa town, surfing lessons & snorkeling are all available during your free time.
Each day you will be guided in a yoga class that includes deep yoga asana, pranayama, meditation & yoga nidra. This is a gentle style of yoga practice that all are welcome to join. Props will be available including yoga mats. Also included in the retreat are three, 2 hour talks on Yoga & Ayurveda. Ayurveda is now becoming more well known, and offers lifestyle practices to create harmony & balance in the body and mind. Ayurvedic consultations will also be available at an extra cost. Those interested in body work can inquire as well. One can. also use the 6 hours of lecture for continuing ed with the Yoga Alliance.

Orchid Oasis is an off-grid facility. Located in the mountains with bamboo landscaping and fruit trees, your stay will be quiet and peaceful.
We have 4 glamping rooms available for you to choose from, register early to choose your room.

AYURVEDIC MEALS & COMMUNAL KITCHEN
Morning offerings of fresh exotic fruits, coffee, chai, tea, and fresh local banana bread, from 6:30-7:30am
Ayurvedic vegetarian lunch will be served Saturday & Sunday 12-1pm Including dal,
kitchari, fresh salads and more.
Friday evening an Ayurvedic dinner will be served 6:00-7:00pm
Please let us know if you have any dietary concerns. Ghee is use in the cooking. The community kitchen will be open 24 hours. Please keep tidy and wash all you use. There are many farmers markets on the North Shore and Celestial Natural foods in Hale’iwa. Dinner will not be served Saturday & Sunday.
You are welcome to cook or eat out at the local food trucks in Hale’iwa.
Mary (Shubha) is a certified Life Style Counselor and her experiential teachings support the ancient traditions of Yoga, healing Asana, Tantra and Mantra for the well-being of mind, body and spirit. She is offering these teachings at Open Space Yoga and Ayurveda Hawai'i on Oahu’s North Shore and Hawai'i Kai.
She also teaches the 200RYT/300RYT Hour Teacher Training Courses, which she has established since 2004.
Mary has studied with Dr. David Frawley of the American Institute of Vedic Studies and teaches the institute’s ‘Ayurveda Healing Course’.
She is also studying with Kerala Ayurveda and Jyotisha withDharma Widmann.
Pricing includes: Accommodations (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) one night dinner, 3 light morning breakfast (Monday morning included) ,& 2 Ayurvedic lunches. 3 Yoga Classes & 3 Yoga & Ayurveda lectures.
NOT included: car rental, air fare, dinner on Sat & Sun. All off site activities are not included.
