2023-2024 Ayurveda Course

Gain a solid understanding of the principles of Ayurveda including Doshas, Gunas, Ayurvedic Cosmology, and detailed Ayurvedic Anatomy & Physiology.

~ Become qualified to give an individualized Constitutional Analysis and facilitate an effective Ayurvedic Consultation.

~ Understand the Constitutional factors behind any client disease condition.

~ Learn patient Diagnosis and Examination via pulse, tongue and observation.

~ Advise clients on Ayurvedic Treatment Methods;  diet and herbs,life-style recommendations.

~ Study Advanced Treatment Methods ; aromatherapy , Mantras, Yoga Psychology & Ayurvedic Counseling, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Asana.

The course material contains 45 lessons. At the end of each lesson there are study questions and practical exercises in order to guide the student in his or her study of Ayurveda. Completed study questions will be reviewed and graded by course mentor.

The course material has four detailed final exams at the end of each of the four course booklets. Student must forward their completed exams to Mary for grading. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all 4 exams along with participation in the Zoom 200 contacts hours.​

This course is 200 Contact hours and 300 non-contact hours for a total of 500 hours.

The course is authored by Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri), uses his books on Ayurveda, and represents his approach, adapting Ayurveda to the modern world without losing its traditional foundation. Vamadeva’s books on Ayurveda and Vedic knowledge are among the most extensive available today. Vamadeva teaches Ayurveda along with modern dietary considerations and the use of both Western and traditional Ayurvedic herbs. He integrates Ayurveda with the practice of Yoga and meditation and the theoretical approach of the Vedas. He is regarded as one of the senior “Ayurvedacharyas” or master teachers of Ayurveda in the world today. He has a D.Litt in Yoga and Vedic Studies from S-VYASA and a special Padma Bhushan award from the government of India.

11 Month Course Meets Approx 6 SESSIONS FOR 3 HOURS each session for approx 18 hours a month.    

This course will be offered live zoom, all sessions will be recorded if you miss class or want to re-watch the class.
